On 17 June 2020, the Ministry of Personnel Management (MPM) jointly organized and hosted a global online conference with the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH).

Titled "Human Resource Management in Civil Service amid COVID-19: Best Practices and Solutions," it accommodated approximately 300 attendees from ACSH participating countries and international partners including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The participants shared the lessons learned from each country’s experience in responding to COVID-19 and had an in-depth discussion on the direction civil service management agencies should head towards in this new and fast-changing era.

Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in March 2017, the Ministry of Personnel Management of the Republic of Korea has continued exchanges with Kazak civil servants and the ACSH. The online session proved to be part of strong bilateral ties between the two countries.
