The Ministry of Personnel Management (MPM) recently delivered a number of informative sessions with its partners as part of its webinar series on public personnel management policies and systems.

The most recent one was held on 3 September with the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia in attendance. It was also joined in by representatives from the Civil Service Council of Mongolia and the National Academy of Governance as well as other Mongolian public officials from various ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs. Most of the Mongolian participants are in charge of public personnel administration and ethics programs within their affiliated ministries.

In particular, Korea's Public Service Ethics Program, comprising restrictions on employment and activities of retired public officials and property registration, disclosure and review system, gained much interest.

Korea's Electronic Human Resource Management System (e-Saram) was also an interesting topic of the day.

As part of its international cooperation efforts, the MPM plans to continue hosting and taking part in a series of webinars with its partners, including the aforementioned countries.

In mid-September, a webinar on performance management will be held with participants from the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia and the National Academy of Governance. It will then be followed by an online information session on Senior Civil Service in October or November 2020.

The next session will be on the e-Saram system and held in October, followed by other informative sessions which will touch upon topics, such as personal information protection and security, competency assessment and training and education for public officials.
