Policies implemented to ensure work-family balance of public officials (Mar. 13, 2017)
The Ministry of Personnel Management on March 13 revised State Public Officials Service Regulations to promote the culture of ensuring work-family balance of civil servants.
The revised Regulations limit pregnant public officials from working in night-time and holidays and introduce childcare leaves granted to look after under-aged children. Male public officials are also encouraged to take childbirth leaves and allowed to use certain working hours for childcare.
