On August 10, 2018, the Ministry of Personnel Management of the Republic of Korea and the Steering Committee of the Astana Civil Service Hub signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on human resource management in civil service in Seoul, Korea.
The Signing Ceremony was attended by the MPM Minister Kim Pan Suk and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACSH Alikhan Baimenov. Based on this MOC, the two organizations agreed to enhance cooperation in the area of public personnel administration to strengthen the human resource management in the government among ACSH's member countries around the Greater Central Asia, mainly by sharing best practices in civil service reform (i.e. recruitment, compensation, pension, HRD, performance management) through exchanges of visits and knowledge sharing, hosting of expert meetings and participation in civil service-related activities.
The ACSH is a multilateral platform engaged in the exchange of experience and knowledge, uniting efforts to build capacity of civil services in the countries of the region. It was founded by 25 countries in March 2013 in Astana and currently has 40 member countries as well as international organizations as institutional members.
