Types of Civil Servants Accident Compensation Benefits

Disability Benefits Disability pension Where a civil servant retires because he or she becomes disabled due to an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty or Where a civil servant becomes disabled after retirement due to an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty before retirement. 52%~9.75% of standard monthly income depending on disability grade (Grade 1 to 14)
Lump sum payment for disability Where a civil servant intends to receive a lump sum payment for disability in lieu of a disability pension The amount equivalent to the disability pension for five years
Accident benefits for survivors Survivors’ disability pension Where a person entitled to receive a disability pension is deceased 60 percent of the amount of a disability pension
Survivors’ pension for a civil servant who died in the line of duty Where a civil servant dies of an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty while holding office or after retirement 38 percent of the standard monthly income + 5-20% added for family members (5% per person, up to 20% maximum)
