The Ministry of Personnel Management participated in the UNDP-Mongolia National Consultative Meeting of Public Managers on Civil Service Reform in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 21, 2018. The meeting was jointly organized by the Government of Mongolia (the Cabinet Secretariat), in collaboration with the Standing Committe on State Structure of the Parliament of Mongolia, the Civil Service Council, the National Academy of Governance and the UNDP Mongolia, and sponsored by the UNDP project "Towards a professional and citizen-centered civil service in Mongolia", funded by the Government of Canada.
The meeting was attended by key government representatives, local administrations and international experts and comprised discussions and presentations on civil service reform policy of Mongolia and country experiences from Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Bhutan and Georgia.
During the Session on Reinforcing Meritocracy in the Civil Service, MPM presented ‘The Content of Civil Service Examination and Professional Training: Experience of the Republic of Korea' sharing innovation in civil service recruitment and human resource development (HRD) of civil servants in Korea.
On the occasion of the Meeting, MPM met with the representatives of the Civil Service Council, Cabinet Secretariat, National Academy of Governance and UNDP Project Office to discuss future bilateral cooperation between Korea and Mongolia in the area of public personnel administration.
