Scope and priority of survivors

The following is the scope of survivors when a retirement pension beneficiary (civil servant) dies

Priority of survivors eligible for the survivors’ pension is based on the priority of inheritance as stipulated by the Civil Act. Therefore, the spouse has the same priority as the person with the highest priority. If there is more than 1 person with the same priority, the pension is equally divided to between them; or if a representative is designated and delegated to receive the pension, he or she shall receive the entire amount of pension.

When more than 1 person receives the an equal amount of the divided pension, if one survivor dies, his or her stake is transferred to the other survivor with the same priority
