Background

  • Operated since 2001 as a scholarship program by the Japanese government (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology)

    Operated to nurture future national leaders in Asia and other regions, and to contribute to the establishment of friendly relations among trainees

Overview

  • Organized by: The National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan
  • Training course: Master's program in public administration/policy
  • Training period and language: 1 year, English

    It can be extended to job training within one year after completing one year of the master's course

  • Selection process

    Recommendation by the MPM → Final selection after an English interview at the Japanese Embassy

  • Training fee: Paid according to the standards of the long-term general course (※ 1st year training fee is supported by Japanese government scholarships)
