The Ministry of Personnel Management (MPM) is a central government agency of the Republic of Korea responsible for designing and implementing a variety of public personnel policies including recruitment, remuneration, human resource development, welfare and pension programs, and ethics and disciplines affecting public officials of Korea. In November 2014, the MPM was newly established under its current name to reinforce a fair, transparent and balanced innovation throughout the civil service system in Korea.
Currently, the MPM consists of 8 bureaus, 31 divisions, and 1 team, with 3 affiliated organizations—including the National Human Resources Development Institute (NHI), the Appeals Commission, and the Public Officials Occupational Accident Compensation and Pension Commission Secretariat (CPCS)—and a total workforce of 613 employees (417 in the head office and 196 in affiliated organizations) as of 31 December 2025.
