Civil Servants’ Literature Award

  • The literature award was introduced in April 1998 to spur creativity in public administration by cultivating civil servants’ literary talent.
  • Entry and review of works from April to July and award announcement in August each year
  • Host: Ministry of Personnel Management, Organizer: Government Employees Pension Service
  • 8 categories: Poetry, sijo, essays, novellas and plays (including scenario), children’s poetry, children’s stories, public ethics, public empathy
  • Any former or current civil servant may enter the contest

Civil Servants’ Fine Art Contest

  • The fine art contest was introduced in May 1990 to create a harmonious work culture in the public sector
  • Entry and review from May to August and award announcement and exhibition from September to November each year
  • Host: Ministry of Personnel Management, Organizer: Government Employees Pension Service
  • 7 categories: Korean (Hangeul) calligraphy, Chinese character calligraphy, literary painting, Korean painting, western painting, photography, handicrafts
  • Any former or current civil servant may enter the contest

Civil Servants’ Music Contest

  • Beautiful music cultivates civil servants’ emotions and promotes a creative work environment
  • Pilot contest started in 2007 led by civil servants’ music clubs and was expanded to all civil servants nationwide from 2008
  • Application from July to August, preliminaries, finals and award ceremony from August to November
  • Host: Ministry of Personnel Management, Organizer: Government Employees Pension Service
  • 4 categories: Pop vocals, classical vocals, instrumental music, Korean classical music
  • Any former or current civil servant may enter the contest as a team or individual
