Purpose

  • To improve job competency required for job performance by acquiring knowledge, skills, and experience in the private sector
  • To enhance qualitative level through openness and competition in human resource development for civil servants and understand the policy environment and current issues

Implementation overview

  • Planned number of trainees: about 1,500 per year (excluding teachers, military personnel and civilian personnel in the military)
  • Training period: Any time throughout the year (Separately run the first and second half of the year)
  • Education expenses are supported by the Ministry of Personnel Management, and travel expenses are borne by each ministry

Basic directions

  • Establishing courses related to the national vision, national goals, and national strategies following the inauguration of the new government
  • Understanding the latest technologies to adapt to changes in the era of the 4th industrial revolution
  • Opening customized training courses reflecting the results of training in the first half of the year and demand for training

Selection of trainees, etc

Eligible trainee selection plan
  • Operating programs based on the request of ministries, and reflecting the needs of each ministry to the greatest extent possible within the scope of the appropriate number of trainees for each program
    : Each ministry → the Ministry of Personnel Management

    Recommendations by ministries are reflected in the selection plan as a priority

  • if the number of trainees exceeds or falls short of the appropriate number of students for each course, adjustment is made so that trainees can complete other courses
Recognition of completion and regular learning
  • Completion criteria
    • Establishing completion standards suitable for educational purposes, such as attendance, assignments, etc.
    • If there is no separate assignment or evaluation test, at least 80% of the total number of training days (hours) must be attended for the course to be recognized as completed
  • Recognition of regular learning hours
    • For those who have completed a course, education and training hours are recognized according to the following standards
      (Off-line training): Only actual training hours for each course are recognized for those who have completed the course.
